Sunrise of Elstree – one of the chain of residential care homes run, since 1981, by Sunrise Senior Living – has found an efficient and highly cost-effective way of disposing of the waste materials it generates. Moreover, this solution also helps to improve the aesthetic quality of life for the home’s 78 or so residents.

The home’s Maintenance Manager, Alan Harris, explained: “We used to use skips to dispose of the home’s waste – and, then, we found that Waste King offered us the best price when it came to hiring skips. But skips tend to be unsightly and not in-keeping with the home’s aim of maintaining beautiful grounds giving our residents stunning views across the London skyline.”

“Again, Waste King was able to help – by supplying a cage, or waste pod. This cage has been placed in the woods – out of sight to residents.”

“When the cage is full, Waste King’s fully insured and Environment Agency-licensed staff arrive – always promptly, when requested – and empty it. It’s a brilliant arrangement!” he said.
