Solving a problem about converting the loft
March 10, 2014
Of course, when you decide to embark on a loft conversion, you usually have to find a way of getting rid of the junk that’s been sitting in your attic all those years.
There might be enough junk for you to fill a skip – but there are laws and regulations nowadays about what can, and can’t, be put into skips. Besides, it might be inconvenient to have a skip on your drive – and there might not be the room to put the skip on the road outside, even if you’re happy to pay for the necessary skip permit.
You might not be too keen to keep going up into the loft, collecting the junk and then carrying it through your house to the skip – without damaging any of the existing décor or furniture.
If you have any qualms about this process, you might want to consider an easier and often cheaper option: get Waste King’s trained, licenced and insured operatives to move all the junk for you – and put it into one of their vehicles.
That way, you only pay for the volume of junk they take away – not for a whole skip, whether or not you can fill it. And, unlike skips, vehicles don’t need permits to park outside your house or on your drive.
Waste King can take away all your junk – even the items classified as ‘hazardous’, along with any waste electrical equipment that’s been languishing in the loft ‘just in case
Moreover, Waste King will clear up when the job is done – and the operatives are insured so, in the extremely unlikely event of any damage occurring while the rubbish is being loaded onto the vehicle, you’ll be compensated.
